Earth stopped its spin
For chances were slim
That the dust would heal
The skies could conceal
Such wide devastation
Destructive intervention
Of the ones who ruled
As masters of doom.
In destined departure
From a promised Rapture
The oceans spilled over
And mountains cowered
When a blue planet swore
It could bear no more!
It was a rainy day when I heard
Tears of a fairy in the rustling leaves
Glistening droplets sliding gently
From flamboyant Gulmohar petals
Taking the fire and fury of summer
Into the arms of autumn-in-waiting
In the lagoon of your eyes
I have lost myself
Surrounded by shimmer
Sinking in the depths
I am colored blue
I am washed in green
Like shadows, reflections
That slide down slowly
With tears of exuberance
As wishes blown gently
On wings of eyelashes!
