Storytellers

I befriended them –
Yesterday’s ghosts
I roamed around with
Ghouls of the past
I faced them and asked
Stories, trials, anecdotes
Until I conquered my fears
For venom cures venom
They don’t petrify me
That threatened me once
For we all are now storytellers

Metamorphosis

I underwent
A metamorphosis
Shedding my skin
Forgoing myself
Now a shadow
Of what was once
So you could love
A mannequin
Of your dreams!

Mistakes

Undone mistakes,
Who ever heard
Such a misnomer!
There’s no turning back
From follies made
Flaws embraced
No entry erased
From the script of life
No joy in living so tame;
Heroism runs wild
Courting danger
Almost always in trouble
A spark, a glitter
In eyes that discover
The glamor in being
Incorrigibly mischevious!

Lost Crusade

Crimson as passion
Blood of rebels
Love not of roses
And burgundy wine
But dense and strong
With the spirit of strife.
Will it change the course
Of our human history?
See, how we remain trapped
In the power corridors
Every drop shed, evaporates
Without leaving a trace!
All efforts, a lost crusade!
