Consume me whole Like the ocean gulps down That flamboyant orb Easing its pain The lavish burn from within Letting it settle Amongst corals and pearls In a soothing embrace The ashes submerge Then slowly emerge In a million starlights Flickering silica spreads Across a sleeping world
The sun melts into the horizon Amalgam of light and darkness Where the lines are blurred Between paradise and hell Consumed by the ocean Glitter hues of golden days Now wrapped in tempests Bellowing over troubled waters Such is life – Moments of delight Washed away by turbulent tides
I sieved the stars Through my fingers They fell on the ground Now, sparkling dust! The mist from my eyes Mingled in the glass The shimmer flowed Into oceans and seas Luminescence washed To the silver beach, I picked up the shards Of the broken stars. One with the sand By the shores I stand Crystal dreams in my hand I clutch them to the bosom, The roaring skies demand The glitter be returned For they carry visions, Of a thousand Earths!
