Coffee makes everything okay

#FromOneLine 268 ☆  Friday Challenge

The Friday Challenge #FromOneLine prompt is apt for a coffee lover like me.

She liked her coffee sweet
With a dash of cinnamon spice
Flavored with the sleepy silence
Of a pristine day peeping out
Of the blanket of dawn light
A tender sip awakens the soul
With a potion offering succor
In this moment, warm with hope
It does not matter that
The world was made of ice

Candlelight dreams

#LoveLetters prompt 12/18

On the yonder hilltop
A cottage enveloped
In silver sheets of rain
Carrying the prickly touch
And the aroma of pine trees
I sit by the window
Feeling the drops graze
Dusty tiles on the roof
An open book in hand
I nestle in the lap
Of candlelight dreams
As time comes to a halt!

Winter blog posts for WriteFluence

It’s the time to revisit Christmas memories. Sharing three blog posts I wrote for the #WriteFluence #blog, last year.

I participated in the @WriteFluence December Blog and Win challenge by penning down 3 blog posts overflowing with Christmas nostalgia and personal experiences.

Do read, comment, and vote for all three. I am sure you will enjoy the reading experience:

Starlight

#FromOneLine ☆  Friday Challenge  ☆

If anyone had been watching
The stars are brighter tonight
They sway in sparkly hammocks
To tunes of whispered cries
Wish upon a star, they said
For dreams can be fulfilled
By twinkly drops of cosmic light;
I, too, looked up at the brilliance
To catch a truant starling in flight
My pleas fizzled in its fiery demise;
I turned away, sad, despondent
But I found it in my pocket.

Growing Old

This weekend, I wrote for a new poetry prompt and experimented with AI- generated visual art. Here is what I created:

#VisualArt generated using Wombo Dream AI for the #poetry #prompt #LoveLetters – In woven wool and frosted cap

In quiet slumber
Warm against the fireplace
Memories of a lifetime wrapped
In woven wool and frosted cap
Frayed edges of time, heaving
In tandem with the seasons
A love that often whithered,
Bloomed again but never drowned
In destiny’s torrential rains
