Horoscope

A thousand miles away
Stars in a distant array
Speak to me of destinies
That lend to life it’s mystery
In luminous, fiery novas
In sparkly, fallen crystals
In comets singed to ashes
The fate lines in our palms
Etched in celestial splashes

Slip and Fail

Don’t be a stranger
To the voices within
For they hold reflections
Of your deepest sins.
Hear them out
When they proclaim
The path to be free
Of the guilt and pain,
To claim absolution
In knowing the truth
That you are only human
When you slip and fail!

Vision

These lines were specially written for the prompt #blindman by #moonmystic. With all our vision we are unable to discern truth from falsehood, genuine people from the fake ones.

Vision

What the blind man sees
Is more intricate than
Any emotion deep
Or touch we feel
Without true sight
With power infinite
Sensing silent tremors
Buried in murky souls
Hearing gentle murmurs
When tender hearts spoke
With all our vision
We know neither fair nor evil
For all we know is a countenance
Feigning affection or
Shielding the devil

Fleeting Heaven

Daisies

Tell me why the daisies sing
Gentle petals, how they singe
With dark splatters of crimson
What makes them sway in glee
Touched by an aching breeze
Those that hummed in praise
Of wilderness and their beauty
Have crumbled to dust so ruddy
Sacrificed in raging wars of men
Only to capture a fleeting heaven

Autumn-in-Waiting

It was a rainy day when I heard
Tears of a fairy in the rustling leaves
Glistening droplets sliding gently
From flamboyant Gulmohar petals
Taking the fire and fury of summer
Into the arms of autumn-in-waiting
