Fantasies

What are fantasies?
Illusions with wings;
Birds uncaged
Floating free
Over dreamscapes
Hovering still where
Nightmares dwell
A magical world
With a wish
And a spell
In our minds we create
A wonderland, or
A raging hell!

Heaven and Hell

As a life-long student of history, I know every chapter resounds with the story of Heaven and Hell!

Ambition prophesied
Madness was not
Kingdom in sight
But hell it brought
Murder, malice
Truckloads of lies
A slice of heaven
Promised delight
All for naught
Power unchecked,
A tragedy wrought!

Kings can’t smother
Smolders of a revolution
For when men burn,
Sparks reach heaven
Ashes color hell
A world rebels
For those who suffer
So history tells

Venom

Fire and flow of buried emotions
I had commanded to lie still
Gulping down anger
Silencing the rage
I waited for time to heal;
They gurgled wildly
In gorges of the heart
Streamed in deadly cascade
Burning lava from hell
Surged from the gallows
Spilled as luminous pain
All the venom I had held!
